Bulk Shopping Club, anyone?
This could be particularly good for frugal apartment dwellers or families who are financially pinched.

I'm wondering if there are people in the 98125 and 98115 zip codes who might want to save $$ by pooling cash for Costco runs. You might not need nor be able to store 18 rolls of toilet paper, but you could get maybe four for the same price. Same idea for detergent, butter, spaghetti sauce, spices, dry goods, et cetera.

In which Miles extols the virtues of cheap rice
I'd just like to thank Uwajimaya and the folks at Niko Niko Calrose Rice for selling what has to be the absolute cheapest food in America. Fifty pounds of food for twenty bucks. I can cook some with sugar and fruit, and it's breakfast. With a few stir-fried veggies on the side, it's lunch. I can eat it with a handful of pressure-cooked lentils, and it's dinner. Heck, I could even eat rice pudding for dessert.

It might not be the world's most exciting food, but I won't be starving anytime soon.

First Thursday Art Walk
Pioneer Square's First Thursday Art Walk is coming soon! For some reason, the first Thursday Art Walk is on May 30, which isn't first, but oh well.

Most galleries on the art walk route have either free or discounted admission. You also can't forget the free munchies and all of the FREE ALCOHOL you can possibly stand!
